BRIDGE Technical Workshop set for 4-5 February 2015 in Bangkok

BRIDGE is holding a technical workshop on Data Sharing and Common Framework for Water Ecology Assessment in the 3S(Sekong, Sesan and Sre Pok) basins.

The workshop will be an opportunity for government representatives, RBOs (River Basin Organisations), NGOs and project partners to discuss existing data (e.g. GIS, water quality, rivers profiles) in the 3S basin; and identify gaps and develop mechanisms and strategies to improve data collection and sharing for this transboundary basin.

The BRIDGE (Building River Dialogue and Governance) Project is facilitated by the IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, and is financed by the Water Diplomacy Programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The Project aims to build water governance capacities through learning, demonstration, leadership, and consensus-building in transboundary river basins in the Mesoamerican, African, Andean and Mekong regions.
